The Camp's Mission
We are people dedicated to creating sacred spaces of Chrisitian hospitality and learning. We offer these spaces so that people may experience God's love, engage with creation, develop loving interdependence with each other and all of Earth, and act with justice. We invision a world of wonder, love, and justice. Dr. Cornell West says, "Justice is what love looks like in public."
Serving as a Leader
While participating in the High School Leadership Camp you will have the opportunity to serve as a camp leader within the high school camp community and with the elementary camp. It is important that camp leaders work to fulfill the camp's mission statement (above). All leaders are screened to ensure a safe, healthy camp environment. Please complete the following questions as part of this screening process. We may contact you for more information, if needed. If you will be 18 at the time of camp, you will be asked to also complete a background check.

I understand that as a leader, it is my responsibility to act in a manner consistent with the values of Camp and Retreat Ministries. I understand it is my responsibilty to avoid sexual contact with children, youth, and adults, even if the other person initiates the contact. Under no circumstances will I use corporal punishment as a means of discipline. I certify that the information I have provided is true and correct. I understand that the Camp and Retreat Ministries Team reserves the right to follow discipline procudures for rule violations including my dismissal for safety violations or if it is found that the answers given above are false while serving as a leader.
