Foster Application Form - The Rescue Express

THE RESCUE EXPRESS is dedicated to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters around the country and providing them with safe and caring homes.

If you are interested in providing a temporary foster home for these well deserving dogs, please fill out this application.

Previous foster experience is not necessary, but it is highly desired if you have some experience with dogs and basic obedience training. Providing a foster home is a very
rewarding experience but there are some things to consider before you make the commitment:

Providing a foster home for a dog is an open-ended commitment. While THE RESCUE EXPRESS works diligently to find adoptive homes for every dog we
rescue, there is no guarantee as to when we will find a forever home. If you make the commitment to foster, you would need to care for the animal until we find a permanent home.
THE RESCUE EXPRESS will provide you with as much medical information as we have, including what shots the animal has previously had, on what dates, and if it is currently on medication.
While in foster care, all Veterinary bills will be paid for by THE RESCUE EXPRESS as long as you take the animal to one of our approved Vets. Please call one of us if you need to schedule a vet appointment. In case of an emergency such as suspected poisoning or a serious accident please take the animal immediately to an emergency vet and then call us.
Preferably, you would provide a puppy pen or crate, collar, leash, and food (we would advise what kind to prevent stomach upset). However, if you are not able
to do so, we will assist wherever we can.

I agree to have THE RESCUE EXPRESS complete reference call checks and conduct a home visit inspection to be able to approve my foster application. I agree that if I'm unable to foster the dog(s) anymore that I will return the dog(s) to THE RESCUE EXPRESS and try to give THE RESCUE EXPRESS a 2 week period to try and find another suitable foster for the dog(s).
