     24 Hour notice before your trip can be scheduled and prepayment.

    CHOOSE YOUR FOX RIVER TRIP!

    Elgin to South Elgin, IL

    You will get in at the boat launch ramp before the Hemmens Cultural Center. There is free parking just passing the Kimball street bridge at 226 N Grove Ave. Your trip will end at Chipstone Park on the right hand side of the river in South Elgin. This will take you between 1 1/2 to 3 hours on the water. We recommend this trip for anglers because this section of the Fox River provides a lot of good fishing.

    Starting at Lions Park, you will launch right past the parking lot. Your trip will end at Ferson Creek Park in St. Charles on the right hand side of the Fox River. This will take you between 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours on the water.

              REQUIRED RENTAL BOAT SAFETY VIDEOS

              A new Illinois law beginning June 1st 2018, requires that all renters must watch these safety videos and take a short test before they embark on their river adventure. We have provided a link to the online site and a link to each individual video for your convience. All customers will be required to sign off with Midwest Kayak Rentals that they complied with this new law.

              Now that you have watched all of the Rental Boat Safety videos, a 10 question test is required to move forward with the registration process.

              You will need to create an account on the website Rental Boat Safety, 

              to access the test and get your results.

              RENTAL AGREEMENT WAIVER

              We have provided a link for the Release of Liability Waiver for adults and minors. CUSTOMERS CAN DOWNLOAD, PRINT AND SIGN THE FORM AHEAD OF TIME AND TURN IN TO US EITHER BY EMAIL OR IN PERSON.

               If you are kayaking at Cary Lake at Rotary Park, you will fill out this form in person.

              (We will provide waivers on site to customers that do not have forms ready before your trip.)

              TIPS FOR YOUR TRIP! 

              1. We recommend customers wear synthetic clothing and avoid cotton.

              2. Wear footwear that is comfortable, made for getting wet and stays securely on your feet.

              3. Bring sunscreen and a small cooler with ice for your water and snacks.
