  • a. ISO/IEC Type 2 Certification Scheme consists of type testing of a sample and market surveillance. Market surveillance is conducted and samples of the product from the market are assessed for ongoing conformity. 

    b. ISO/IEC Type 1b Certification Scheme consists of type testing of a sample of a production and subsequent batch inspection. Regulated Fire Safety Products certified under ISO/IEC Type 1b Certification Scheme are issued with product labels which are also displayed on the products. 

    c. ISO/IEC Type 5 Certification Scheme consists of testing and assessment of the quality systems involved. Surveillance of the quality system is conducted and samples of the product from either the market or at the point of production, or both, are assessed for ongoing conformity. Regulated Fire Safety Products certified under Type 5 Certification Scheme (Discrete System) are issued with product labels which are also displayed on the products.

    1. Original or copy of test/assessment report(s)* bearing recognized accreditation logo with certification number.

    *[Test report validity period shall be 5 years for products listed under Product Listing Scheme with the issuance of product labels which can be displayed on the products.
    Test report validity shall be 10 years for products listed under Product Listing Scheme with the issuance of declaration of conformity(DOC). ]


    2. Product specification (e.g. Component list, material list, product brochure, drawing, etc).


    3. Original or copy of latest information from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).


    4. A copy of contract agreement between COC's Applicant and the designated installer.


    5. Original or copy of letter from manufacturer informing the relationship between the manufacturer & COC's Applicant including role of the COC's Applicant concerning the product.


    6. Original or copy of the authorization letter from the owner of test report (if the applicant is not the owner of the test report) confirming that the applicant is authorized to use the test report for application.


    7. Copy of Certificate(s) to declared certification (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, etc).


    8. A copy of last COC from other certification body (ONLY applicable for Transfer Case).

  • 1. The quoted fee is only valid for 1 year from acceptance of this form. If an applicant is not able to obtain certification within 1 year from the date of application, a new application form and fee have to be submitted. 

    2. Refer to Sales Quotation for the corresponding amount to be paid. 

    3. All payments to be made payable to SETSCO Services Pte Ltd. 

  • Part 5. Contract Agreement

  • 1. For FSP clients, refer to Terms and Conditions of Fire Regulated Product Certification provided by SETSCO Certification Body's staff.

    2. For BCM/PPE/FPC1 client, refer to Terms and Conditions for Product Certification provided by SETSCO Certification Body's staff.

    3. The organization shall also be bound by above mentioned terms and conditions as may be amended from time to time for as long as the products is available in the market. 

  • Part 6. COC's Applicant Declaration

  • 1. The organization named above applies for certification for the scope(s) set out in this application. I declare that the information on this form and any information given in support of this application are correct and accurate to the best of my knowledge. Moreover, I acknowledge that the information declared herein shall only be valid within one (1) month CB's acceptance date. If for any reason, an assessment has not been confirmed within the said period, it will be my responsibility to update the CB of my organization's information by resending a new application form. 

    2. I have read the Terms and Conditions, criteria and applicable normative documents, and undertake that the organization shall comply with these requirements if this application is accepted. 

    3. I undertake that the organization shall pay all fees due to SETSCO, whether or not certification is granted. 

    4. The organization shall comply to all requirements of the scheme & scheme owner. The certification body reserves the right to suspend or withdraw the certification in the event requirement(s) of the scheme is not complied.
