The VSSM position is designed for college students who desire to serve a full summer on the mission field. Each missionary will raise funds, allowing students to serve as paid missionaries.
This position will be a seven-week commitment to serve alongside Victory Sports with Victory Sports Camps during June and July. College missionaries will live in host homes for the summer. Local missionaries can live in a host home with other VSSMs or their own home.
Victory Sports Camps are mission trips that offer sports camps during the mornings and VBS during the afternoons for first to sixth grades.
As a VSSM, you will:
Serve- As a member of the Victory Sports Summer staff team, you will take on the role of a servant leader—supporting our mission to share the Gospel message and empowering our mission trip teams to do the same. The days will be long but exhilarating as you seek to serve the campers, communities, local volunteer leaders, mission teams, and your fellow VSSM Summer Staff teammates.
Lead- We will encourage you to grow your leadership skills as you and your teammates help lead our mission teams through every aspect of mission trips. Victory Sports leaders will provide you with resources and a framework, but you and your team will be additional hands, feet, and voices for our trips.
GROW- It is our primary desire that you grow in your relationship with Jesus this summer. This will happen by stretching you outside of your comfort zone and challenging you in your spiritual walk daily. Ministry is messy and often challenging, and we pray that you will be challenged to embrace differences and experience God in new ways.
The application deadline will be Monday, May 20 (unless otherwise noted).
Email vso@comporium.net for specifics on summer paychecks and fundraising. There will be a set amount raised/earned for summer missionaries.
After submitting the online application, you will receive an email with additional program information and a scheduled interview.
VSSM's will have June 29-July 5 off. Any scheduling conflicts during the committed eight weeks will need to be discussed by May 22.
