Each year Keep Polk County Beautiful, Inc. presents awards for outstanding environmental efforts.  Please help us by nominating a person, business, municipality, school, classroom, community group or organization that you would like to see recognized for one of KPCB’s awards. 

 General Award Submission Criteria:

Have a goal of cleaning up and improving communities that includes one or more of the following:  (Including recycling and pollution prevention practices)

*Litter Prevention      *Beautification    *Minimizing the impacts of solid waste in Polk County      *Outstanding Volunteerism within Community    *Youth Leadership & Outstanding Youth Volunteerism       * Green Initiatives – Reducing the negative impact on our environment

AWARD CATEGORIES

Environmental Champion

• Will be presented to the business that best exemplifies the above efforts. 

Preserving Polk Awards

• Will be presented to individuals, groups and communities throughout Polk County that best exemplify the above efforts.

Sadie says “Litter Bugs Me” Award

• Will be presented to School/Classroom that best exemplify the above efforts.

Paving the way in Polk Award

• Will be presented to a youth that shows exemplary volunteerism and leadership efforts.

Adopt-A-Road Group of the Year

• To be submitted by Adopt-A-Road groups.  *Please include information regarding: Number of cleanups per year, average number of volunteers that participate, and how long your group has been participating in the program.
