Thank you for reaching out in reference to your dog training needs. We would be honored to assist you and bring out the best in your dog. Please fill out the evaluation form. After you have returned the attached form, I will get right back to you with the best training options to serve your needs.

When it comes to dog training, consistency, clarity, and accountability are oftentimes the biggest issues between us and our dogs. Our job at Ridgeside K9 Summerville is to give you the tools that you need to better communicate with your dog. We offer multiple programs to help you have those tools and understand how and when to use them. We offer board and train packages, meaning your dog comes and stays with us for the duration of the training. We train your dog and then return the dog back to you, train you as a dog owner, and make you and your dog an amazing team together. We offer in-home lessons, where YOU get to participate in all training aspects and learn WITH your dog. We also offer a hybrid program where your dog comes to us for foundational training, and then the training is followed up with 5 in-home lessons to solidify the concepts and help you and your dog be the amazing team that we know you can be!

AVAILABLE DOG TRAINING PACKAGES
We offer multiple training packages:

Puppy Training (Under 5 months)

2-Week Puppy Board and Train – $1650

Adult Training (Over 5 months)

2-Week Adult Board and Train - $2200

3-Week Adult Board and Train - $2600

4-Week Adult Board and Train- $3000

**For off-leash or behavior modification**

Private Training:

One-On-One Training - $150/hour

** There will be an added mileage fee outside of the immediate Summerville/Ladson/Goose Creek/Moncks Corner areas **

1-Week Refresher Training – $1000

Puppy Training Overview:

Our puppy training will teach your puppy how to learn and how to be neutral to his or her environment. Through this process, you will see a decrease in undesired behaviors such as biting and leash pulling.

During training, your puppy will learn a marker-based system of training. This will teach the puppy how to learn for the entirety of its life. They will learn to respect rules, boundaries, and structure. They will become neutral to their environment, other dogs, and strangers.

Training begins with puppies learning the foundation of the marker-based system which includes their marker words. During this process, we will incorporate building engagement. Once they understand the process we will introduce leash pressure and add commands. After hundreds of repetitions of those commands, we begin adding distance, duration, and distraction and hold the puppy accountable for noncompliance. Throughout the program, they will be introduced to a multitude of different environments which will help bolster confidence.

Board and Training Overview:

Training starts immediately upon arrival for a board and train. Dogs will be taught a marker-based system of learning. They will be taken out in the community several days a week and during this time they will be required to be neutral to their environment. Throughout the training, we will continue to add distance, duration, and distraction to proof all commands and ensure a calm state of mind.

We do not believe in one standard training method for all dogs. We will work with owners to build a program to meet the specific needs of their dogs and family. We make ourselves available throughout training to answer any questions and alleviate any concerns. We pride ourselves on our transparency and dedication to keeping owners up-to-date and informed on the progress of training.
