CATHARSIS
an exhibition of Art and Poetry
March 21 through April 24

This is an open call for art and poetry expressing the emotions of a turbulent time, including the pain and the purpose, when living with joy is revolutionary act.

As always, the theme is a starting point and can be whatever catharsis means to you or whatever you may have written during a time of deep emotions, a message you want to express, or a moment you want to hold on to. Show us your expressions of love, pain, fear, joy or hope, to highlight our shared human experience.

• Submissions Accepted through February 28.
• Notice of acceptance statuse will be sent March 10.
• Book Drop off time will be arranged between the director and poet.

Submission information:

• Poem must fit on one letter sized sheet of paper, printed in a 12 pt font with a minimum line height of 1.5 and a 1" margin. 
• You may submit up to 4 poems. We will print them, frame them and hang them for sale for $30 each and will reprint as many as needed, so your poem could sell more than once.
• You will receive 60% of the sale. We cover the processing fees and sales tax from our portion. 
• Poets whose work is selected are also invited to bring their book(s) to sell in the boutique. The same standard gallery commission rate of 60/40 - in favor of the author - will apply as described above.
• Poets who are accepted to the show will be invited to read at the opening reception on Saturday, June 7 and potentially other events hosted during the exhibition.
