    Eligibility

    Entry is available to:

    ·       Student Members of the NZIOB. Student membership is free for anyone enrolled in any construction-related tertiary programme, or in a recognised carpentry apprenticeship. Nominees who are not already Student Members of the NZIOB can join via a two-minute online application; and

    ·       In any year of study, full or part time

     

    How to enter:

    ·       The online entry form can be saved partway through and continued later using a link provided to you via email. Information on what is required is listed below.

          Video:

    -        Create a video where you tell us about your big idea to shake up the building industry. Don’t hold back with your ideas – we want to hear them all whether they are ambitious, controversial or outlandish!

    -        Your video can be in any style you like, but you must appear in it in some way. It should be between one and two minutes long.  

    -        Accepted file types accepted are MOV, MP4, WMV.

    Written:

    -        Along with the video you will need to complete this online entry form where you can tell us a bit more about yourself

    -        The online form can be saved partway through and continued later using a link provided to you via email

    -        You will also need to provide the name and contact details for a referee who we can call – make sure you check with them so they know they have been put forward.

  • Q3: WELLBEING 

  • Burnout is huge in our industry and we would like to see this shift – it’s important that along with putting your time and energy into work you also take time to keep balance in your life. In 200 words or less, describe your approach to wellbeing:

    • How do you maintain a good work-life balance?
    • What is your approach to the wellbeing of yourself and those you work with?
    • What strategies do you put in place to achieve wellbeing during a project/assignment or at times of high pressure?
