Please check the time periods you are willing to volunteer. These times are just to give us an idea of your availability; they are not binding in any way and you will not be required to work every time slot you select. Your actual volunteer hours will be finalized closer to convention time. During the convention you will be required to check in at the Volunteer booth before and after each shift to properly log your hours. If you do not log your hours correctly, we cannot compensate you for your effort. We will compensate you $20 for every 2 hours that you volunteer for, up to the cost of your badge.

I have volunteered to assist Anime St. Louis, an event organized and existing under the laws of Missouri, with the 2022 Anime St. Louis convention in a variety of capacities.

I have volunteered my time and services because of my support for Anime St. Louis and the anime fan community of St. Louis, and my desire to participate actively in the furtherance of its work. I understand that my activities as a volunteer entail a risk of physical injury or death and that I may be exposed to hazards arising from manual labor. I also understand that this is a volunteer position and is not meant to be a paying job or have monetary gain. I understand the compensation offered for volunteering cannot exceed the amount of the badge I purchased.

I expressly assume all risks associated with such hazards, as well as all other risks associated with or arising from my volunteer activities. Because the assertion of claims against Anime St. Louis for personal injury occurring during my volunteer service would be antithetical to my support of Anime St. Louis and its goals of providing a convention for the anime fans of St. Louis and would reduce the ability of Anime St. Louis to accomplish its purposes, I grant this release.

On behalf of myself, my estate and the personal representative thereof, my heirs and assigns, I hereby forever release, hold harmless, defend and indemnify Anime St. Louis, their staff members, directors, and fellow volunteers, from any and all costs, claims, losses, liabilities or damages arising from or in any way related to, my service as a volunteer in the above-described project.

I intend this release and indemnity to be effective, regardless whether the claim of liability is asserted in negligence, strict liability in tort, or other theory of recovery. For myself, my estate and the personal representative thereof, my heirs and assigns, I covenant and agree to make no claim, nor to institute any suit, action or proceeding against either Anime St. Louis its officers, directors, or fellow volunteers, relating to any accident, incident or occurrence arising out of, or in connection with, my volunteer activities.
