Please compete the following survey no later than Thursday, March 17th.
During the 2022 Conference, the planning committee will honor survivor resilience and strength through art! The focus of this virtual art gallery is to share survivor expressions of healing, hope and gratitude.
We are providing an opportunity for survivors to submit their work of art in the form of a photograph. Examples might include a poem, book cover, painting, drawing, jewelry, pottery, etc., that expresses your hope and what you are grateful for that contributes to your healing process. Poetry or written art can be submitted in Word or PDF format. Photographs must be in a .jpeg or .png format with at least 300 pixels resolution. Please only send submissions that belong to you, and you own the rights to use.
You will also be asked to submit a brief description of your submission describing how your art contributes to your healing, how it gives you hope, and why you are grateful for it. You can share you name, or be anonymous, and /or share your social media platforms and website.
Once we have received all of the submissions, Bukola Oriola, Survivor Leader and Conference Planning Committee Member, will review, select and put the submissions into a video that will be featured on the conference platform in a virtual art gallery room. Please note that we may not be able to include all submissions due to video time capacity, and ask that you limit your submission to one per person.
Keep in mind that the art gallery video will be shared with all attendees during the conference, and we cannot guarantee that a conference attendee won’t share it outside of the conference.
Also note that if you choose to submit your art, you are submitting your art voluntarily, and unfortunately, we are unable to compensate you for this submission.
To submit your art, please compete the following survey no later than Thursday, March 17th. If you have additional questions, please contact Paula Schaefer, paula.schaefer@state.mn.us.
