AMWA Representative to the AMA

There are several ways that AMWA is represented at the AMWA. POSITIONS: Delegate/Alternate Delegate to the AMA House of Delegates** (OPEN 2022, 1 yr term), a representative to the AMA Women Physicians Section Governing Council (OPEN 2023, 2 yr term), and a representative / alternate representative to the Women Physician Associates Section (OPEN 2022, 1 yr term). All of these individuals must: (1) Be both an AMWA and AMA member in good standing, (2) Attend the AMA Annual and Interim meetings each year. (3) Attend the AMWA Annual and Interim meetings each year. (4) Participate as observers throughout the AMA annual meeting, prior to term of service. **For the AMA House of Delegates, candidates must have been a member of the WPS governing council or other governing council or have experience within the AMA House of Delegates. DEADLINE MAR 3.
Idea candidates will have:

o Excellent written and verbal communications skills;

o Passion to articulate clearly AMWA ideas and resolutions to be introduced at AMA interim and annual meetings;

o A deep understanding of the AMA process and ways of doing business;

o Dependability to participate actively in AMA meetings and activities; and

o Dependability to report back to AMWA officers and the Board of Directors.
