    Big Picture Responsibilities

    • Capture images that are high quality and put on display the beauty and worth of each individual photographed.
    • Facilitate a joyful and professional environment on Picture Day.
    • Implement company core values in every aspect of the job.

    Ongoing Responsibilities

    • Perform photography services for Slow Road Photo including School Picture Day, company headshots, sports portraits, events, and marketing photos. Most working hours will take place Tuesday-Friday between 7:30-2, with sports typically Monday-Friday from 2-6, other photography events occurring throughout the year at various times (including some weekends).
    • Respond to ongoing communications within 24 business hours, including participating in Mondays from 10:30am-11:00am in person or over zoom.
    • Participate in ongoing training opportunities and other team development activities, including an annual summer retreat.

    Job Qualifications

    • Ability to photograph proficiently in full manual mode.
    • Experience photographing people of all ages - especially children!
    • Ability to problem solve, work with a team, and adapt to changing environments.
    • JOYFUL and fun personality!
    • This is a high energy, physically demanding role that requires stamina! An average day on the job includes unloading and setting up equipment and photographing students in volume with lots of sitting, standing, and kneeling.

    Availability

Because school Picture Day happens seasonally, the busiest times of the year are August - January and March - June. Photographers need to be available during these months an average of 15 hours per week Tuesday-Friday between 7:30-2. Work outside of those busiest months are available to a limited number of photographers based on demand and availability.
