    NEW OR TRANSFER F-1 STUDENT VISA

     

  • VISA F1 New or Tranfer

    If you are interested in applying for a student visa or transfer student visa, the first step in order to have the Acceptance Letter from our school is to submit the following documents or sent them to Laura Carreon laurac@unam.mx :

    WORD Format (English or Spanish only):

    • Full name, DOB, age, nationality, the academic program you wish to attend, start and end dates. (remember that the minimum requirement for us to process the I-20 is the 2-session study of English)

    • Full name, DOB, ages, relationship, and nationalities of the companions if they will apply for the F2 Visa.

    • State if you have any family or acquaintances in the United States, if yes, relationship?

    • Principle Email address where we can send you information and documents pertaining to your F1 Visa.

    • Specify whether you are applying for a new student visa or transfer visa (if you have studied in this country at any other school with a student visa). If it is a transfer, indicate how much time you have with the I-20, the name and contact of international student services of the school from which you are transferring.

    • Why did you choose to study at our school versus your home country or online?

    • What are your academic interests? Scholar Project in the United States or other countries (University or College).

    • If your objective is to continue studying at a university in the United States, we request a conditional pre-enrollment letter from an accredited College or University.

      ** Remember that we authorize the I-20 form only for students, that is why we request the pre-acceptance from a University in the United States or another country. It is not valid that you indicate that your project is to study at UNAM San Antonio since the question is the Project you have AFTER studying with us.

     

    IMPORTANT NOTE: UNAM-San Antonio do NOT process "change of visa status" (tourist visa or any other type of visa to student visa status).

    PDF Format:

    • Copy of document certifying your high academic record. (original copy, no translations).
    • Copy of your transcripts if you are transferring your F1 visa from another school.

     

    Please answer each of the questions above, the lack of answer to any requested question or information could influence the decision of the Evaluation Committee.

    You will be notified by email with a decision of acceptance by the Evaluation Committee within 10 business days following the date to receive them, (acceptance by the institution does not guarantee that you will be granted the F1 visa).

    The time you would need to process your visa is approximately 2 months, you would start your process according to the session you decide to start in and according to where you are located (please research in your country how long you will need to obtain an interview with the American embassy and the issuance of the F1 visa).
