  • Christ Church Chorister Registration

  • Christ Church Choristers is open to all students of reading ability, generally, 3rd grade and older.  Third-grade Choristers are considered Apprentice Choristers for their first year of participation.  In addition to learning music in the Anglican and American choral traditions, Choristers also learn about music history and liturgy.

The Choristers rehearse weekly throughout the academic year and join the Parish Choir to sing the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist on the first and third Sundays of the month, with a 9:30 a.m. rehearsal.

In addition to music rehearsals, Dr. Jason Hobratschk ("Dr. Jason") will be offering a music theory and musicianship class on Wednesdays.  The Chorister rehearsal schedule is:

    Music Theory & Musicianship Class
    (Optional)

    Wednesdays
    2:30 p.m. to 3:25 p.m.

    Chorister Rehearsal Wednesdays
    3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Christ Church Choristers participate in the music ministry of Christ Church Parish.  Christ Church Parish is an affiliate of the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM America).

There is no cost to participate in Christ Church choristers.

Special summer courses or trips would involve tuition and/or fundraising.

  • Media Permission:  Christ Church Choristers regularly sing for public worship services.  As a result it is impossible to control situations in which a chorister may be photographed or videotaped. Christ Church has social media accounts, and images from choir activities are posted regularly.   Publicity materials generated may also include images of Choristers.  The names of the Choristers will not be made public without the express consent of the parent(s) or guardian(s).

  • For Families of Students at Episcopal Day School:

Representatives of Christ Church are available to escort students participating in the Music Theory & Musicianship Class from EDS to Christ Church at school release time.  Additionally, Representatives of Christ Church are able to escort EDS students from EDS after-school care to Chorister Rehearsals.
