  • TERMS & CONDITIONS


    1. General


    1.1. If you require an additional Service add on, this is chargeable on the day.
    1.2. Any additional service add-ons need to be booked prior to 48 hours notice of your appointment. As much notice as possible is appreciated. Please note there may not be time to accomdate last minute changes.
    1.3. If you refer a friend to the salon, we will give them a Complimentary Deluxe Hot Towel Treatment at their first visit. This needs to be quoted at the time your friend schedules their appointment.
    1.4. If you refer a friend to sign up to a VIP Membership, you will be credited two (2) Wash, Blowave and Styles to your account.
    1.5. The Rumours are True reserve the right to refuse an appointment or cancel your membership if we deem that you are not playing fairly. Fair play includes: Respect and common courtesy to the staff and salon.


    2. Payments


    2.1. You agree to pay all Membership Fees in advance. Payments will commence on the Start Date and will continue on a monthly, fortnightly or weekly basis thereafter.
    2.2.  All payments due to the Salon under this Agreement will be collected through the Payment Provider (acting as the Salon’s agent) in accordance with the terms of the Payment Provider’s contract entered into between you and the Payment Provider.

    2.3.  By entering into this Agreement, you agree that you are also required to enter into a contract with the Payment Provider authorising the Payment Provider to debit the Membership Fees due for each direct debit period from your Billing Account.
    2.4. All Memberships do not automatically roll over after 12 months. A new contract will be issued if reinstatement occurs.
    2.5. If you are in the last 3 months of your membership, chat to us about your reinstatement options.
    2.6. Payments are designed to roll over. Payments are designed around 48 weeks of services but charged at 52 weeks of the year.

    3. Cooling off Period


    3.1 You are entitled to a 3 day ‘cooling-off’ period after signing this Agreement, during which time you may terminate this Agreement. If you decide to terminate the Agreement during the cooling off period, the Salon will, within 14 days, return any payments made by you to it under this Agreement, less the cost of any Services provided to you from the date of signing this Agreement until the date of termination (this cost will be determined in accordance with the advertised price for non-members of the Salon in respect of that Service).

    4. Cancellation


    4.1. Any cancellation requests are required to be in writing via email.

    4.2. If cancellation of Membership occurs during the term of the contract, prices will revert to advertised price for non members of the salon in respect to those services received. This is inclusive of complimentary services received and discounted add on services.

    4.3. If cancellation occurs, a cancellation contract will be issued for completion, stating any refunds applicable to you or outstanding payments to the salon as a result of reverted pricing.
    4.4. Any outstanding payments owed to the salon, will be required to be paid via Bank Transfer or Paypal within 14 days of cancellation.

    5. Transfer of Membership


    5.1. Your membership is not transferable by you, nor able to be exchanged, resold or redeemed for cash.
    5.2. Except to the extent permitted by law, memberships are not refundable.

    6. Upgrade Membership


    6.1. You may upgrade your membership to a membership package of greater value than your Membership Package immediately on written notice to us via email. If you upgrade your Membership Package, the new membership fees will apply from the date of upgrade and will commence from the next payment date.
    6.2. It is not possible to downgrade your service. This would require cancellation and reinstatement of new membership.

    7. Reschedule Policy


    7.1. All cancellation or rescheduling of appointments must be notified to the Salon [48 hours] in advance of the scheduled appointment time.
    7.2. Rescheduling appointments can result in amendment of all future appointments as they are all booked in advance.
    7.3. If you cancel an appointment within 48 hours or do not show up to your appointment, your pre-payment will be forfeited.

    8. Suspension of Membership


    8.1. You may suspend your membership provided that all amounts payable are up to date at time of suspension. This Agreement can be suspended for up to 4 weeks per calendar year. All suspensions must be applied for in writing with a minimum of 7 days’ notice.
    8.2. Weeks suspended will be added onto the end of your membership and charged accordingly.
    8.3. If you wish to use the Salon’s Services
    during the time period for which your membership is suspended, you will be required to pay the normal advertised price for non-members of the Salon in respect of the Services.
