Welcome to Hudson Valley Improv (HVI)!

Below you will find a General Liability Release Form, A COVID-19 Release Form, Code of Conduct as well as a place for you to upload a photo or PDF of your State Issued ID and Proof of Completed Vaccination and booster. Please fill out and get back to us PRIOR to your first class.

• All students at HVI must provide proof of vaccination and booster regardless of disability, political or religous beleifs (except for one scenerio listed below). N95 masks are required for all classes and class rehearsals UNLESS you have received the BIVALENT vaccine and are at least 2 weeks out from the sot (so it is in full effect). Class shows will be decided on a case by case basis, but we currently require perfromers to conduct a home self tests the day of show to confirm negative status. All students are welcoem to wear a mask whenever they want. 
• If you are sick or have symptoms, please alert HVI to be advised of next steps. 
• If you had COVID recently, are recovered, and your doctor told you not to get your booster for 90 days because of immunity, you MUST provide a note from your doctor saying that (attach below). The letter MUST say you are recovered from COVID and safe to take class. All unboosted students with doctors note MUST wear an N95 mask as all times. 
• If masks are optional for performers in a show, all UNMASKED students must provide proof of a negative test before arriving to the theatre. This can be done with a note form a  facility conducting tests or a picture of your home test. HVI will not reimburse for the cost of a test, if any.
• All audiences attending shows (if any) MAY be required to wear an N95 mask. As of now we are not requiring proof of vaccine from our masked audienes, but reserve the right to change that if necessary.
• When your classes take place in our home studio dedicated to improv. NO SHOES ALLOWED IN STUDIO. Please wear socks. You have to enter our home, slip off your shoes at the door and walk to the studio in the middle of the house. 
• When at our home studio, we clean the studio and the bathroom before and after each class and provide hand sanitizer for our students. When at Boughton Place, they clean, but we clean again. We also have a Blue Auto filter which ilters viruses.
• When at our home studio, the room is large but not big enough for all of us to be 6 feet apart at all times. If social distancing is required again, classes will most likely not be live and in person.
• The class is physical but we stress that you go at your own pace and keep your hands to yourself. Bring water.
• Attendence is required. Please make every effort to attend all classes, unless you are unwell. Improv is an ensemble sport and your participation matters. 
• HVI encourages students to keep their improv "clean" and creative. Besides it allowing all audiences to enjoy our work, we think avoiding "blue humor" and the like is more creative. Slips happen, it's improv afterall, but our goal is inclusive, inspiring work that allows everyone to laugh. 
• HVI does not tolerate discrimination, harrassment, or sexual harrassment. HVI strictly prohibits discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, national origin, disability, veteran or military status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local laws. Be kind, empowering and treat your classmates as you'd like to be treated.
