• 2022 Summer Camp Volunteer Training: May 8th from 4 pm- 6 pm

  • Cape Fear Botanical Garden offers summer camps for children ages 4-15 with different week long and day camp themes. All our camps focus on fostering a love for nature with hands-on activities and outdoor explorations. Camps start May 23rd and run through August 25th. We serve almost 300 children in camp over the course of the whole summer and we could never do it without the help of volunteers!

Volunteers can sign up for one or more day or week long camps. Summer Camp volunteers help children with crafts and activities, clean up and setup from camp, play learning games with children, join in class activities, pass out supplies, and support children with special needs. Summer Camp volunteers must attend a camp volunteer orientation. The orientation will include a tour of the garden and pizza will be provided for dinner. We will also cover child safety practices and camp routines. Volunteers who commit to at least a full week of camp and register before April 10th will get a camp T-shirt of their choice. We would like volunteers to be at least 14 years old unless the volunteer is a returning camper. For our oldest camps, volunteers must be 16 years old.
