Parent Agreement / Consent
- My child can already ride confidently without support and apply the brakes.
- My child will use a suitably sized bike which is in roadworthy condition. I will run a bike check using the guidance provided and if I am in doubt as to whether a cycle is roadworthy, will seek the advice of a professional mechanic.
- The instructors may refuse to train my child if they deem his/her cycle to be un-roadworthy.
- My child will wear a British Standard approved helmet which fits comfortably and squarely on my child’s head.
- Due to social distancing measures I agree to help my child to adjust their helmet if required at the start of the course
- My child’s bike and belongings are their own responsibility during the course and that CycleSafe will be not liable for any damage/loss that occurs due to negligence.
- CycleSafe will not be liable for incidents which occur due to my child cycling without due care or attention or following instructions
- The Instructor may at any time refuse to continue to train my child if their behaviour becomes unsuitable
- I will encourage my child to practice between each session or after the completion of training to reinforce learning
- My child will wash/sanitise his/her hands regularly if instructed
- The instructor will administer any necessary First Aid to my child following Bikeability COVID 19 guidelines
- The instructor will make small adjustments to my child’s bike, if it will improve their cycling ability or safety following Bikeability COVID 19 guidelines
- Pupil data collected will be used to support the delivery and monitoring of training sessions/courses. See bikeability.org.uk/privacy-statement/ for further details.
- This information will not be shared with any third party under the new GDPR laws
- Although COVID protection measures will be carried out as far as possible during the course, Cyclesafe will not be liable for infections which may occur following the course.
