Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue (HOP) will offer in person volunteer assistance to the county to transport equines, including the use of our vehicles and trailers at no cost to the county. HOP will provide volunteer care hours for the horses involved in a legal seizure case at no cost. HOP will charge a subsidized care fee of $10.00 per day for full size equines / $5.00 per day for ponies, donkey and miniatures during the holding time period of a seizure case, and this will include grain, hay, bedding, farrier care and medications. The county is responsible to reimbursement of the cost of actual fuel for transport, covering discounted/subsidzied vet care of each equine. The equine(s) will be still be surrendered toHOP following the closing of a case. We recognize underweight, un-vetted horses have nomonetary in this economy, and by subsidizing care costs during a case to a county, HOP will cover more than the value of a neglected equine, even in a short case.Heart of Phoenix will not be responsible for transport back to the county or former / current owners at any point. Heart of Phoenix is not be responsible for death, escape or other unpredictable instances of injury to any equine(s) in our care for the county during the course of any legal case while we foster equine(s) for the county in question.
