Something magical happens when we are transparent.
Aimed at women aged 18+, our Women's Empowerment workshops are about healing, growth and making connections. We will combine The Stevens Technique with true-life storytelling.
The Stevens Technique
The Stevens Technique is a radical and organic practice to help heal and find personal freedom and creativity. Used for both acting and wellbeing, The Stevens Technique, created by Robbi Stevens, has grown and evolved since 2006.
Animalistic exercises aim to work out the body, mind and spirit.
Tapping into stored emotions
Stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system
Exercising fascial connective tissue
Recognising behavioural patterns
The Stevens Technique is tribal and raw and taps into the warrior at the heart of every person. Be prepared to have your emotions evoked, to reflect and share.
Sharing stories is a powerful way to enhance personal growth, problem solve and unlock creativity – it can also aid in forming a connection between the body and mind that many sever through life and trauma. At the end of the workshop, women will be given the opportunity to share stories with one another in a safe and welcoming environment.
Author and clinical psychologist Carl Greer (2014) said that when we write our stories; we stop feeling confused about the events in our lives and thus begin to access the wisdom that we might have lost when we disassociated ourselves from traumatic emotions or insights.
Each workshop is 2 hours long, running from 6pm - 8pm. The workshops operate in pairs so when booking, you'll be asked which block you'd like to attend. Feel free to book multiple blocks!
Block 1: 23rd and 30th April 2022
Block 2: 5th and 12th November 2022
The workshops will be taking place in the heart of Camden Town.
