Thank you for your interest in applying for HAVI membership!
Organizational membership is available to community-based organizations, national organizations, local or state government entities, academic institutions, and agencies working in the community violence prevention and intervention field. Minimum qualifications for organizational membership include:
- Evidence of three years of work in the community violence intervention or prevention field, community violence policy or advocacy, or the medical/behavioral health field.
- Documented organization's mission, goals, and objectives that are aligned with The HAVI's mission and vision.
- Demonstrated exposure to and engagement with the HVIP model as evidenced by participating in The HAVI Annual Conference, The HAVI webinars or training programs, and relationships with HVIPs.
Organizations ineligible for The HAVI membership include those who are currently operating an HVIP or intend to start an HVIP, are not engaged in community violence prevention and intervention, and are misaligned with the mission and values of The HAVI.
Applications are reviewed once a year and subject to staff approval. Please refer to the dates below:
- Application Opens: March 25
- Application Deadline: May 16
- Review Period: June-August
- Notification: By September 18
