    The Women of AT&T National Scholarship program was established to encourage and reward personal and professional development, focusing on continuous growth, advancement, and success through education, leadership, and community involvement.

    The program awards scholarships to deserving students who are attending or will soon be attending an establishment of higher learning.  Applicants must be sponsored by a Women of AT&T member.

    The Women of AT&T National Scholarship Committee annually determines the amount of money and number of scholarships awarded based on funding availability.  In 2022, the Committee is pleased to announce that forty (40) $1000 scholarships will be awarded to:

    • Graduating high school seniors
    • Undergraduate students already enrolled and attending an establishment of higher education

    ELIGIBILITY

    Applicants for the Women of AT&T National Scholarship Program must be planning to attend or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution or technical vocational/trade school.  Applicants must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA (4.00 scale) and must be sponsored by a Women of AT&T member.  Students of all genders are eligible to apply.

    AT&T employees are not eligible to apply for the Women of AT&T National Scholarship. Family and friends of employees are eligible. Note that this online application must be accessed from outside the AT&T Firewall.

    AWARD CRITERIA

    Recipients of the Women of AT&T National Scholarship are chosen through a process that evaluates the following:

    • Essay Content and Quality (40 Points)
    • Grade Point Average  (35 Points)
    • Leadership in Community/School Involvement  (25 Points)

  • APPLICATION PROCESS

    The application package includes:

    1. Submission of online Scholarship Application - which starts on page 5 of this form.  The online scholarship is available by clicking Next at the bottom of the page.
    2. Official Transcript (with weighted GPA listed) must be sent electronically from the school to  DL-WOA_transcripts@att.com .

      Students are encouraged to contact schools as soon as possible for  transcripts to ensure time for processing before the deadline. Transcripts must be official and must be received directly from the school. No transcripts will be accepted directly from applicants.

    All online submissions and application materials must be submitted/postmarked between March 1, 2022 - April 30, 2022 (by midnight Eastern Standard Time).

    NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

    Scholarship recipients will be notified by email (or phone if email is unavailable) by July 31, 2022.  Scholarship checks are sent directly to a recipient's school, no exceptions.  All Women of AT&T National Scholarship Committee decisions are final.

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    1. If an applicant has been awarded a scholarship in a previous year, are they eligible to re-apply?
      Yes.  If a new application is submitted and the applicant is selected again, it is possible for a person to receive more than one scholarship over the years from Women of AT&T.

    2. How are scholarship recipients selected?
      The National Scholarship Committee selects the scholarship winners based on the criteria outlined above. All decisions by the Committee are final.

    3. How are scholarship recipients notified?
      The National Scholarship Committee will notify all scholarship recipients by email (or phone if email is unavailable) by July 31, 2022.  Recipient names will also be posted on the Women of AT&T National website and in the Women of AT&T National newsletter.

    4. Can an employee of AT&T receive a scholarship?
      No. AT&T employees are not eligible. Friends and family of AT&T employees are eligible as long as they are sponsored by a WOA member.

    5. If I'd like to make changes to an application I've submitted, may I re-submit my application?
      We encourage applicants to carefully review your application for accuracy prior to submitting.  If you have questions or require revisions to a submitted application, please contact: DL-WOAScholarshipCommittee@att.com .

    6. Who should I contact if I have questions or technical difficulties with the application?

  • HELPFUL REMINDERS

    1. Please ensure that you complete the entire application.

    2. Document your involvement in School and Community activities (both in person and virtual) over the past year (1/1/2021 thru 12/31/2021). Specifically highlight any leadership roles you have held. Include work experience during the same time period, if applicable. Complete the "School" Tab, the "Community" Tab, and (if applicable) the "Work" Tab within the form.  Save the form using your name as the filename. Then upload your form. Resumes or other types of documentation will not be accepted.

    3. Please request transcripts as early as possible to ensure they're postmarked by the deadline.  Transcripts must be postmarked between  March 1, 2022 - April 30, 2022 (by midnight Eastern Standard Time). Only Official Transcripts will be accepted. Your weighted GPA must be included on the transcript.

    4. The school should send the most current transcript available.  Information populated within the application should align with the transcript.

    5. Please ensure your essay meets the 250 word minimum / 500 word maximum guideline for high school applicants or the 500 word minimum / 800 word maximum for college applicants. The Committee does subtract points for essays that do not adhere to these guidelines.

    6. A confirmation email will be sent following your scholarship submission along with a summary of the data submitted.

    7. Carefully review the application for accuracy before submitting.

    8. All application materials must be received between  March 1, 2022 - April 30, 2022 (by midnight Eastern Standard Time). Applicants are encouraged to contact their schools immediately for transcripts to ensure time for processing by the deadline.

    9. The online application remains active as long as your browser is open.  If you close the browser prior to submitting the application, your information will be lost.
