TEEN REGIONAL ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
1. Have a positive, energetic, optimistic, driven attitude that is ready to have fun!
2. Be a Teen who meets the age eligibility requirements:
Teen contestants must be between 13- and 18-years-old, but must be 14 by the start of the state competition. To be eligible, delegates must have been born between 2008 and June 23, 2013. To clarify, the contestant cannot be younger than 14 and cannot be older than 18 by the start of the state competition (June 23, 2026).
3. Meet all eligibility guidelines set forth by the Miss America Delegate Contract.
4. You must have competed in your 2026 local competition. If, however, there is not a local competition in the county in which you reside or attend school, this requirement is void. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from competing in your local competition, please email blaine.barklow@missoregon.org to review them for approval to compete at the Regional.
5. Be available for the following mandatory events/dates:
Delegate/Parent/Guardian In-Person Spring Workshop & Headshots
April 26, 2026 in Oregon City
***It is mandatory that a parent/guardian join the Teen delegate at Spring Workshop.
Delegate/Parent/Guardian Virtual Spring Workshop
Late May or early June via Zoom (exact date TBA)
Miss Oregon’s Teen Competition
June 22 -28, 2026 in Seaside
It is mandatory that a parent/guardian accompany the Teen contestant to the state competition and remain in Seaside (or surrounding area) for the entire competition. Lodging and other expenses are the responsibility of the contestant's family.
Miss America’s Teen Competition
Competition Dates: Aug. 30 - Sept. 8, 2026
Location: TBA
Entry fee and airfare of Miss Oregon’s Teen will be provided by the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program. Lodging is the responsibility of the contestant's family. Meals during travel days and the required competition days are provided.

2. Be a Miss who meets the age eligibility requirements:
Miss contestants must be between 18- and 28-years-old. Age eligibility is established by birth year. To be eligible, delegates must have been born between 1998 and 2008. To clarify, the contestant cannot be older than 28 in the year she would compete for a state title (2026).
3. Meet all eligibility guidelines set forth by the Miss America Delegate Contract.
4. You must have competed in your 2026 local competition. If, however, there is not a local competition in the county in which you reside or attend school, this requirement is void. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from competing in your local competition, please email blaine.barklow@missoregon.org to review them for approval to compete at the Regional.

Delegates will be given the option of a home stay during Miss Oregon Week. If they choose not to stay with a host family, lodging will be the responsibility of the delegate and/or her family. Other expenses are the responsibility of the delegate and/or her family.
Salute to Independence Parade & Events (Show Us Your Shoes Parade in conjuntion with the celebration of the USA's Semiquincentennial)
June 22 - 28, 2026 in Philadelphia, PA
Delegates will be given the option of a home stay during Miss Oregon Week. If they choose not to stay with a host family, lodging will be the responsibility of the delegate and/or her family. Other expenses are the responsibility of the delegate and/or her family.
Miss America Competition
