CBC Summer Away Camp Registration. August 3rd-7th

 PARTICIPANT RELEASE OF LIABILITY 

(READ BEFORE SIGNING) 

Activity Name: All Campus Activities . 

 In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the program, related events and activities, I the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that: 

1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist and, 

2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and, 

3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately and, 

4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS Ridge Haven, Inc. their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (RELEASEES), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

5. I understand that photographs taken of participants in Ridge Haven activities may be used on the Ridge Haven web pages and for promotions in brochures, displays, newsletters, fundraising, and other items of publicity. 

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. 

FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF PARTICIPANT OF MINOR AGE 

(UNDER AGE 18 AT TIME OF REGISTRATION) 

This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releasees, and, for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from and all liability incidents to my minor child’s involvement or participation in these programs as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

 

 

Allergy Policy 

 Ridge Haven strives to make each guest’s experience restful and rewarding. We hope that those with allergies may be able to attend camps and retreats at Ridge Haven. Yet, for the safety and wellbeing of all our guests, it is vital that those with allergies— along with their caretakers— take the time to be informed of Ridge Haven’s policies and limitations. Please review the following policy and reach out to us with questions. 

(1) We are not an allergen free facility. While we limit the use of typical allergens in our menus, we are not altogether free of allergies. Additionally, Ridge Haven hosts guests on campus that bring and prepare their own food. Therefore, we cannot ensure that there will not be allergens brought onto our campus. This applies to both food and non-food allergens. a. Those visiting our campus with medically diagnosed food allergies will need to make our Dining Staff aware of the allergy and the severity of that allergy before arrival so that we may prepare to serve you. i. Campers will be able to list medically diagnosed food allergies during their online registration process. Please note the severity of any allergies. 
ii. Retreat Group Leaders will need to provide the names, allergies and severity of allergies to Ridge Haven at least one week prior to arrival. b. Those with severe allergies should bring and carry emergency equipment (i.e. EpiPen) with them at all times. 
c. Ridge Haven does not have a licensed nutritionist on staff. Emergency medical care is only provided off campus through local medical providers/hospitals. 

(2) Guests with dietary restrictions should supplement our menu by bringing food with them. Any supplementary food items may be stored in our kitchen and refrigerator/freezer. We are happy to microwave supplementary items but cannot cook food to order. a. Dietary preferences such as vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, paleo, etc. will have limited options at meal times. Please plan accordingly! 

b. For those with Celiac Disease, please note that our Gluten Free Camp Menu is very basic. For example: At breakfast, you will be provided gluten free French toast; Lunch, a gluten free sandwich; Dinner, gluten free pasta with red sauce and toast. Other standard items on the menu are gluten-free as well such as oatmeal and Cheerios at breakfast. Still, we encourage you to supplement your meals if you wish for more variety. 

 

Camp Enrollment Fee is as follows.  Your first child's fee is $260.  The second child's fee will be $200.  The 3rd and more children's fee will be $150.
