OPERATIVES, DRIVERS, VISITORS AND OTHER SITE USERS MUST:
Report to the site office upon arrival during standard opening hours
Produce all relevant documentation i.e., delivery note, waste transfer note etc as appropriate.
All site personnel must sign in AND out of site, this should be done individually and never on the behalf of other people.
Obey all instructions given by site control personnel.
Obey the 5-mph speed limit and be alert to all other site users.
Give way to traffic / machinery already manoeuvring in the treatment station area.
Use personal protective equipment(PPE) whilst on site.
The ppe requirements for Fastsource ltd personnel are specified in the relevant company policy documents.
External personnel are expected to wear a minimum of, high-visibility jacket or vest, overalls and safety footwear. hard hat must be worn when personnel are not inside vehicles and machinery.
A stock of spare and emergency ppe is held in the site office.
Exiting wagons hold on to wagon when exiting onto gantry to avoid any slips/falls.
Discharge loads only in the correct stockpile point, and in the manner directed by codes of practice and permits to work etc.
Ensure isolation of the loading zone. request and ensure the vicinity is clear of non-ppe-protected personnel during all loading and unloading operations.
Stay clear of moving vehicles and plant, heed reversing sirens and do not walk behind reversing vehicles/plant.
Do not smoke, eat or drink within the waste processing areas. a hygiene regime is maintained for your safety. Smoking is also not permitted on site at all, please go off site to smoke.
No photography is permitted on site.
The use of mobile phones is not permitted on this site, except within the site offices and canteen. anyone found using a mobile phone on site will be disciplined and removed from site immediatly.
Immediately report any dangerous situation or accident to site supervision / management staff. ensure that no waste remains on the compound floor.
Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed waste transfer note copies for waste deliveries and delivery notes for aggregate exports must be prepared for retention at the site office.
You are not permitted to touch anything, this includes waste, items of plant and vehicles etc.
Before leaving the site, check your vehicle is safe for the highway e.g., no loose load content; no punctures; no stones trapped between tandem wheels etc.
Ensure all wagons travel no more than 20mph when travelling down Caldervale road!
