  • Pilot Medical Fitness

    All solo pilots at Yorkshire Gliding Club must hold a current CAA Pilot Medical Declaration or Aviation Medical Certificate (LAPL, Class 2 or Class 1). We will ask to see this before you fly. If you do not hold any of these, unfortunately you will not be allowed to fly solo at Sutton Bank. However, you may still fly with an instructor as long as you meet the Mandatory Medical Declaration requirements.

     By submitting this form, I declare that I am familiar with BGA minimum medical fitness standards and will bring to the attention of my instructor, in confidence, any medical condition or impairment which could cause an adverse effect during flight.

     I am aware that it is my personal responsibility to ensure that if there is doubt about my fitness to fly, I will not fly and will seek advice from my GP.

  • Parent, Guardian or Responsible Adult Details

  • If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a responsible adult on-site with you, unless we have specifically waived this requirement (usually if you are known to us or are part of an organised group or expedition).

    Please note that we do not permit people under the age of 18 to stay overnight on site unaccompanied, for safeguarding and insurance reasons.

  • Please tell us when you intend to arrive and depart; if you are arriving outside of normal club operating hours - and are new to Sutton Bank, you may wish to call in advance so that we can provide information for trailer parking and building access.

    We recommend that first time visitors aim to arrive during normal hours of operation.
