Dear Rotarians,
Over the past few weeks, we’ve had several members reach out asking how they might be able to assist with the crisis in Ukraine. The World Service Committee met last Tuesday and discussed ways to provide support to Ukrainian refugees as they flee to Poland and other countries. Given the scale and speed of the crisis, the committee has requested the Club and Foundation move quickly to assist the many refugees in need. As one of the largest clubs in the world, and one who is quite familiar with the generosity of clubs around the world supporting Oklahoma disasters, the committee would like to make an impactful contribution of $20,000 commiserate with our size and commitment to the affected refugees.
At the March 8 luncheon, we asked for your support to reach that $20,000 goal. Below you will find a link to make a contribution. Our Foundation will be accepting contributions through March 18th. All contributions received in support of the refugees will be added to funding committed by our World Service Committee, and our Foundation board has committed using disaster relief funds to get us the remaining way to $20,000 but we can’t get there without your support.
Thank you for your consideration and support,
Jerrod Shouse
President
