A candidate for Leadership Winston-Salem listed you as the supervisor or manager who is authorized to approve their participation in the next Flagship program. The candidate's participation involves a time commitment to the 9-month program which includes monthly attendance for a full day of programming, engagement in pre-day activities or assignments, and meetings with their Action Learning Project teams during times specified by each team. The financial commitment to the program is tuition which covers the cost for meals, materials, transportation, and all other pertinent elements coordinated to create impactful monthly programs. As the employer, you can indicate below your level of financial support and approval of the time away from work for the participant.

Why Leadership Winston-Salem?
This organization, founded in 1984, has helped to cultivate more service-focused leaders in our community. We give participants unique behind-the-scenes experiences that provide insight into the current needs and issues facing our community. We illuminate our city’s rich history and resources through program day activities. As leaders, participants are better equipped to engage in a more active volunteer role in addressing community needs.
Tuition
Tuition is $3,000 and payable by September 10, 2022. Tuition payments are accepted by check or by PayPal. If paid by PayPal, there will be a 3% processing fee.
To complete the Flagship program, a participant is expected to attend a minimum of 90% of the program days, which includes an Opening Retreat, seven full business hour program days (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) scheduled November through May, and a day of Action Learning project presentations, and an evening induction ceremony. All of these days are mandatory for the completion of the program.
The Action Learning Project work, any assigned reading, and other pre-work between scheduled sessions will take an average of 6-10 hours per month to complete at varying times in accordance with each team’s choices (which may occur during office hours.)
