The Role of the Graduate Student Liaison
The Graduate Student Liaison will work with the Director of Campus Ministry to build a stronger link between Campus Ministry and the students of Regis College and the Faculty of Theology.
In addition to serving on the Student Life Committee of the Faculty of Theology and the Student Council of Regis College, the Graduate Student Liaison will reach out to the student body to determine the spiritual and pastoral needs of the graduate student community and, in collaboration, create spaces for spiritual nourishment such as retreats, prayer groups, opportunities to practice pastoral skills, among others that reflect the charisms of both St. Michael's College and Regis College.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Outreach and foster student relationships with all St. Michael’s and Regis College community members.
2. Helping students transition to university and integrate into the community, with a special attention to graduate students.
3. Attending weekly Campus Ministry team meetings.
4. Supporting the student life initiatives of other USMC partners (e.g. Campus Life, Alumni Affairs, Student Societies, Principal’s Office, etc.) and collaborating on these initiatives when possible.
5. Connected to Canadian Catholic Students Association.
6. Ensuring all USMC rules and policies are upheld when organizing student events (e.g. Conferences, Food Services, etc.)
