    Primary - $28.00 or $7.00 per dance
    Beginner - $36.00 or $9.00 per dance
    Novice - $36.00 or $9.00 per dance
    Intermediate - $36.00 or $9.00 per dance
    Premier U16 - $36.00 or $9.00 per dance
    Premier O16* - $48.00 or $12.00 per dance
    *Cash prizes to be awarded for Premier over 16

    Membership - $15/family

    FUSTA Fee - $2.00/dancer

    DOOR FEE
    $5.00/person - competing dancers, children (under 18) & seniors are free. You must prepay your admission fees for this competition.

    Double fees apply on entries after Saturday, April 2nd for dance fees only.

  • Rules and Entry Information: 1. First to enter, last to dance. 2. Any dancer causing a delay may forfeit their place in the event. 3. Classes will be broken at end of entry date. Registrar reserves the right to alter class breaks on day of competition if group falls to 5 or below. 4. Dance competition will run under the rules of the SOBHD. 5. Each dancer must be a member of SHDA in order to compete. 6. ScotDance USA CARD: All dancers must show their ScotDance USA card to compete and receive awards.  If a dancer forgets to bring their ScotDance USA card, they will not be permitted to dance. No exceptions.   7. Dancer numbers will be picked up on the day of the competition. Nothing will be mailed. 8. Age is determined as of date of competition 9. All judges’ decisions are final. A $20 protest fee must accompany any formal written proposals. 10. Dancers are chosen to fill-in for reels based on date of entry ie., last to enter must fill-in when needed. Dancers refusing to fill-in will forfeit their placement in the reel only.

  • COVID-19 Procedures

  • Per the ScotDance USA Rules for Competitions and Recommendations for Competitions, as well as Washington State and King County and those requirements provided by our venue.

    • All attendees at SHDA events must comply with state and local health and safety laws, rules and regulations for COVID-19, including those related to masking and physical distancing.
    • If a person is feeling ill, he/she should not attend the competition. This includes any of the following symptoms within the 48 hours prior to the event: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty
      breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
    • The use of masks indoors is optional for everyone age 5+, including public visitors, staff, contractors, and volunteers, regardless of vaccination status.
    • If a dancer is wearing a mask, they may remove their mask prior to dancing and place it in a paper bag at the back of the stage. Bags will be provided.
    • Dancers must arrive in costume with hair and makeup completed. Changing areas will not be available.
    • The 2022 ScotDance USA Combined Assumption of Risk and Day of Competition Waiver must be completed for all adult attendees upon arrival. All accompanied children should be listed on the adult form.
    • Each dancer must present a valid 2021 SDUSA Registration Card with the new sticker on the back. Pre-Premier cards will be collected at registration and returned after the awards ceremony.  If a dancer forgets to bring their ScotDance USA card, they will not be permitted to dance. No exceptions.
    • A designated spectator area with ample space for physical distancing will be available.
    • Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the venue.
    • Water and refreshments will not be available for distribution at the competition/event. All dancers and dance families must provide their own water and food.
    • Prize winners may be recognized on stage. State and local COVID-19 guidelines regarding physical distancing and masking must be followed during the awards ceremony. Awards will be collected at a separate location along with the dancer’s Pre-Premier cards.
  • Medal/Trophy Sponsorship & Other Donations
     
  • As a non-profit organization, we depend on the generosity of Highland dance enthusiasts to keep us going. This season, we are offering an opportunity to sponsor a medal set or trophy. Of course we are also grateful to receive a regular donation in any amount. Thank you for supporting our organization and Highland dancers in the Seattle area.
     
  • Volunteer Sign-Up Form
  • Competitions run off volunteer help and it is vital that everyone pitch in to make them successful! You will still be able to watch your dancer and training will be provided, if needed.   Thank you!
     
    Please list the following in order of preference, 1-8. Note that filling out this form does not mean that you will be volunteering however, you may be contacted by our volunteer coordinator the week before to inquire if you are still available. 
     
  • Admissions

    You will be required to purchase admissions ahead of time. Admissions is $5 per person, excluding dancers, children and seniors. There will be no option to pay for admission upon entry.
