This is a legal document which affects, binds and limits the legal rights of volunteers working with Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue, and of individuals agreeing to provide foster homes for kittens/cats (persons collectively termed as "Participants".) Each Participant attests that he or she fully understands the contents of this document, and accepts its terms for him/herself and on behalf of his or her heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin.

DISCLOSURE OF RISK:

I am fully aware volunteering to assist in rescue, transport, trapping, or related efforts of any animal through Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue may have both known and unknown risks. These risks include but are not limited to being bitten, clawed, lifting, vehicular traffic, actions of other people including but not limited to Participants, volunteers and spectators.

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS:

I freely and voluntarily assume and accept the risk on any injury or harm to my person or property which may result from handling any animal. I understand that it is my responsibility to wear protective garb including gloves, long pants and closed shoes. It is my personal decision whether to seek and secure vaccination or other known risks of handling animals.

RELEASE FROM DAMAGES AND LEGAL ACTION:

I agree fully and without reservation to release, absolve and forever discharge Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue, as well as all of its Directors, Officers, Volunteers and other Participants, from any potential claim or liability for loss, damage, injury, or expense that I as a Participant may suffer, arising out of inherent risks of participation in volunteering. This release expressly refers to and includes all instruction I may have received, either before or while volunteering.

INSURANCE AND PHYSICAL CONDITION:

I understand that Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue is not providing any medical or other insurance benefits to me. I am currently in good health, as attested by my personal physicians, and I declare that I have no physical condition, disability, or injury that would make it dangerous for me to participate in volunteering with Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

I hereby grant Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. I understand and agree that all photos will become the property of Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue, and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue, to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. I waive my right to royalties or any compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.

I certify that I have read the above agreement, and I understand this is a release of liability which I have signed of my own free will.
