2022 Endorsements Application

Thank you in advance for sharing your plans to support nearly 500,000 Filipinos living in Los Angeles County.

The Pilipino American Los Angeles Democrats (PALAD) is a political organization first chartered with the Los Angeles County Democratic Party in 1987. PALAD's mission is to organize and mobilize Filipino Americans in Los Angeles. PALAD is dedicated to promoting political empowerment and increasing civic engagement and participation in the Filipino American community.

Candidate Endorsement Eligibility

PALAD issues endorsements in local, municipal, statewide, and national elections. Consequently, PALAD takes positions on statewide and local ballot measures and may also endorse in nonpartisan elections such as judicial office elections.

Per our Bylaws amended on January 23, 2020 in Article VIII, Section 3C, PALAD may not endorse candidates in contradiction to those endorsed by the State or County Democratic Party. The Endorsements Committee shall be composed of members of the Board.

Only candidates endorsed by PALAD may be eligible to receive campaign contributions from PALAD. If you have any questions, please email Bianca Nepales Gervacio, Vice President of Endorsements, at hello@palad.org

Requirements to Apply:

Must be registered with the Democratic Party
Complete and submit the following Candidate Endorsement Application
Pay a $50 application fee (Note: the application fee does not include an annual PALAD membership. To become a member, you can sign-up here)
Submit the following application to the PALAD Endorsements Committee by Sunday, July 31 by 12:00pm PST

Process:

Upon completion of the application, PALAD will confirm receipt and your application will be reviewed by the Endorsements Committee. Candidates will meet with the Endorsements Committee for an interview. After the interview, the Endorsements Committee will deliberate. Candidates must receive a two-thirds majority vote from the Endorsements Committee members to determine PALAD's endorsement decision. PALAD will announce publicly on the website at www.palad.org
