Nominate a deserving media professional for induction into MDDC's Hall of Fame, which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of journalism.

Individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the local news media Industry, including but not limited to education, financial sustainability, innovation, and editorial content in Maryland, Delaware or the District of Columbia.

The Hall of Fame is located in Knight Hall at the University of Maryland at College Park.

Posthumous nominations are acceptable. MDDC does not induct candidates into the Hall of Fame each year and the board may request additional information for candidates. Candidate(s) selected are honored at the MDDC Annual conference and awards program in May.

What happens next?

You will receive a confirmation of submission and a copy of your nomination. Nominations received before December 31 are considered by a review panel comprised of representatives of journalism schools in the region, a member of the MDDC Press Foundation and a member of the Hall of Fame. Recommendations from the review panel are taken to the MDDC Board of Directors for review and approval at their February board meeting.
