Step 1: Enlistment
This pertains to manual enlistment and departmental waitlisting during the registration period starting Sep 6. Prior to this, subjects can be obtained via pre-enlistment or general waitlisting.
Cancellation of Subjects (Including MBB 1)
Use this form and choose "Subject Cancellation" under the question "What approval are you requesting for?"
Enlistment of MBB subjects
Use CRS to waitlist for MBB 1, and all MBB majors except for thesis. We will open waitlists daily from 10:00AM to 4:00PM, Sep 6 until Sep 9. Waitlist results will be available before 5:00PM.
For MBB 1, priority will be given to graduating students.
Enlistment of non-MBB subjects
Use CRS to waitlist for available subjects. Dates of departmental waitlist opening/closing/results are dependent on the offering department. Direct emailing of professors/instructors (pre-rog) is no longer permitted in most departments, but depends on the department offering the subject. For concerns regarding these, please contact the department offering the subject.
MBB 200/300/400 Enlistment
Use this form and choose "MBB 200/300/400 enlistment" under the question "What approval are you requesting for?". You will be asked to upload your signed MBB 200 (template here)/300/400 form 1 (template here).
Residence for Graduate Students
Apply for residence via the Graduate Office's online form to be posted here (under "Registration and Enrollment".
For those with complete subjects
Undergraduate students: Proceed to step 2.
Graduate students: accomplish your Graduate Student Progress Report and have it signed by your thesis adviser (or Dr. Ron if you do not have one yet). Also accomplish the Research Undertaking form once you have joined a lab. Templates here. Then, proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Post-advising
Click "Lock Enlistment" at the bottom of the page here. If you have a scholarship aside from RA 10931 (Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act), click on "Wait for scholarship tagging". Otherwise, click on "proceed to assessment".
Then, use this form and choose "Post-advising" under the question "What approval are you requesting for?" Check back later via CRS to see if you have been post-advised.
If something in your registration needs to be modified (i.e. due to missing subjects, enlisted in wrong block, or unfulfilled prerequisites) a junior faculty will be emailing you directly. Post-advising will not be done until these changes are made.
Step 3: Validation and Assessment
Once post-advised, undergraduates will automatically be queued for Validation and Assessment. This step is done by the Office of the College Secretary. You may view your current status here.
For undergraduate students eligible for RA10931, Assessment marks the end of the registration process. You are now officially enrolled for the semester! If you have other scholarships, remember to go back to CRS and click on "proceed to assessment" once your scholarship is tagged. Failure to do so will cause issues at the end of the sem.
MS/PhD students WITH scholarships may need to request for Special Assessment (OUR) here
For students with outstanding balance, use this CRS module to pay for fees.
Change of Matriculation (CoM)
Once fully enrolled, you can still add/remove subjects through change of matriculation (changemat/CoM). The full process can be found here. For step 3 (Changemat advising), use this form and select changemat under the question "What approval are you requesting for?". The rest of the process is automatically handled provided that no payment needs to be made.
FAQ
What is the minimum number of units?
- according to OVPAA memo #2022-127 released 08/29, the minimum unit load for undergraduate students is 15 units.
I will not be able to reach 15 units by the end of Sep 18. What should I do?
- We generally do not allow enlisting in GEs/electives outside of the curriculum unless the student has completed all required GEs. See "Useful Links" for the application for underloading. An approved application will prevent disqualification from getting honors on the grounds of underloading.
Can I pre-rog for subjects?
- We highly recommend inquiring with the department offering the subject or their student representatives before directly emailing professors for pre-rog, since policies may differ per unit. During the registration period, most slots will be offered through CRS waitlisting.
I am a graduate student. What electives can I take outside of MBB?
- Refer to the graduate student handbook (See "Useful Links")
