Moth Night 2022

Learn how to mix up some moth bait and look for moths with a light station. We’ll also have a moth themed story time for kids and a moth craft table. Moth Night is part of National Moth Week.

National Moth Week celebrates the beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths. “Moth-ers” of all ages and abilities are encouraged to learn about, observe, and document in their backyards, parks, and neighborhoods. National Moth Week is being held, worldwide, during the last full week of July. NMW offers everyone, everywhere a unique opportunity to become a Citizen Scientist and contribute scientific data about moths. Preregistration is required. All ages welcome! Moth storytime is at 8:30 pm. There is a $5 fee per person. Kids 2 and under attend for free.

EDUCATION MASK REQUIREMENTS: Cape Fear Botanical Garden follows mask guidance from Federal, County, and State health officials. In accordance with County Schools, starting March 1st masks will be strongly encouraged, but not required during Cape Fear Botanical Garden programs. By signing I acknowledge my understanding of this policy and acknowledge that this policy could change before the program date according to official guidance and case numbers. If required, I agree that I or my child will follow the mask mandate for the future program or camp.
