Here's a general overview of the next steps you need to go through in order to become an official GRM volunteer:
- Complete this form, including all uploaded files. We can't accept incomplete submissions.
- Our Volunteer Coordinator will review and determine if you are qualified, so be sure to submit your CV! If qualified and we have current needs you will be contacted for a volunteer interview.
- Based on current need we will be in direct contact to schedule a brief interview… here’s where we get to know each other better!
- When together, with your Volunteer Coordinator, you decide to come abroad for a GRM project you will begin finalizing the volunteer onboarding process by completing required online training, review/sign waivers, complete a background check, and a few other misc. items.
- Once you’ve completed the required items in Step 4, and your background is cleared, we can get you signed up to volunteer. (Do not plan any travel prior to reviewing dates (needs) and confirming with your volunteer coordinator… we want to make sure you’ll get the most of your time with us first!)
- Volunteering! We’ll get you all set up with tips, connect you with volunteers and do all we can to ensure a safe and rewarding experience.
The steps are pretty simple once you get rolling! We appreciate your interest and understanding that in order to provide humanitarian aid in some of the world's most austere environments where resources are low, danger can be high, and the people we serve are vulnerable, we must follow strict World Health Organization guidelines.
Sincerely,
Team GRM
