Throughout each year, L.A. GOAL/Inside Out Productions (IOP) provides opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities to exhibit their artwork, express their point of view, and educate the public about their creative abilities. For this exhibition, we invite artists from our immediate community, with or without disabilities, to display their work alongside L.A. GOAL/IOP artists to promote connection and inclusion.
Moving Together
Movement is not just a physical act but a symbol of freedom, creativity, and self-expression. From abstract paintings that mimic the flow of water to sculptures that capture the energy of dancers in motion, art has great potential to explore the possibilities of the human body and spirit. With this exhibition, we intend to showcase the beauty of movement itself through the diverse perspectives of artists with developmental disabilities and artists of all abilities from the broader Los Angeles community.
Through your artwork, we would love to know your unique interpretation of the concept of movement. This prompt is open to your interpretation, which can be as literal or symbolic as you choose.
While we will be showcasing artwork by artists with developmental disabilities, this call is open to ALL artists of ALL abilities based in Los Angeles County.
About L.A. GOAL/Inside Out Productions

www.insideoutproductions.com
L.A. GOAL is a non-profit organization that partners with adults with developmental disabilities and their support networks to assist them in living more fulfilling lives. Our goal is to create more opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to thrive across all aspects of life, have meaningful relationships, and feel a sense of belonging within society. We continuously strive to understand our Members’ needs, how they evolve over time, and how they are affected by shifting societal dynamics and inequities. We help the public see beyond ability or disability to honor the core being of our Members and ourselves.
Inside Out Productions (IOP) is a social enterprise and professional art studio that demonstrates what’s possible when Members are at the center of an environment where they can flourish. We launched Inside Out Productions in 1991 in order to employ Members as Artists and to sell their artwork. Through Inside Out Productions, we see L.A. GOAL’s values in action: when people’s core needs are met and their talent is recognized, they can grow, express themselves, and engage in meaningful work.
