    The Trail Funding Program is to assist organizations to create a safe and enjoyable trail experience for all.  There are various funding opportunities available.  Should you not know which one is right for you, please contact a member of the Trail Team to assist you.

    Please read the general funding guidelines before proceeding with this application.  Projects are required to be shovel ready. Project requests will be declined if there is insufficient and/or missing information.

    Please note that these guidelines are subject to change. Applicants are advised to read through the guidelines prior to each grant intake and subsequent application submission.

    ATTENTION:  Prior to beginning the form, we would like to advise you that all applicants will be required to attach and submit the following information with the application:

    • Detailed project description
    • Detailed budget form
    • Detailed project schedule form
    • Proof of applicant insurance or equivalent
    • Map of project location

    You will not be able to successfully submit an application without the above information attached to your submission.

  • Not all eligible projects will receive funding. You might be asked for additional information, documentation, and justification. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Trail Team to assist you with this application. We are here to help

  • We strongly recommend engaging local Indigenous communities before submitting a project application. TCT can support you in this process. If no engagement is planned, Trail operators must justify and explain in detail their reasons. The application may be deemed ineligible if engagement is determined to be available but not satisfied.   • A maintenance plan must be in place for project to be eligible. You may continue conditional on a maintenance plan being completed and submitted to TCT.

    • I confirm that the information and documents submitted are true, accurate, and complete.
    • I confirm that the trail is insured for liability, with TCT names in the policy.  A copy of the certificate has been supplied or will be supplied and that it is in good standing.
    • I understand that if approved, our organization will enter into a legally binding agreement with TCT, that includes terms and conditions of the financial support, including acknowledgment of TCT support publicly.
    • I understand TCT will not reimburse any expenses incurred prior to being notified of project approval.
    • I confirm that a representative with signing & decision-making authority has authorized completion of this application.
