  • We're excited to be on a journey of gathering and sharing stories about Nigerian names. Our goal is to help preserve our languages and culture, while also showcasing the incredible diversity and beauty of our names to the world. Join us! If you, or the person who named you has a unique story behind your name, we would love for you to share it with us via a voice recording. If we select your story, we will share it with the rest of the world via our web series!

    You can build your story around one or more of the points listed below

    • "Tell us something interesting that excites you about your name"
    • What is the unique story behind your name? (e.g birth circumstances, was it given to honour someone? etc)
    • Is there any cultural significance to your name that you are aware of? If so tell us
    • If you like, tell us about your relationship with the person who gave you your name, and why they chose it
    • Have you always loved your name? Or how has the relationship that you have with your name evolved over time?
