SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
Definitions and Interpretation
SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. (nick names SKN and Secret K Nation) is meant to include the Co-Presidents, Executive Team, and active members in good financial standing.
Executive team consist of Co-Presidents, Membership Services Chair, Hospitality Chair, Treasurer, Planning Chair, and Secretary.
References to "us" and "we" are to include SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC
. Co-Presidents and Executive Team.
"You" references SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. members and guardian(s).
Rules mean rules to SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC.Rules are posted in SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. membership guide, and covers matters such as member decorum, member to member communication, privacy, participation, dues, social media platforms, etc.
Payment reminders will go out 5 days prior to due date. The due date will be on the same date every annual or quarterly period. As an active member, in good standing your child is entitled to exclusive access to SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. event calendar, outings, and workshops.
As SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. we reserve the right to revoke membership for any reason if a member or parent fails to obey a rule or regulation as outlined in SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION,INC. membership guidelines, cause a disturbance, leak private member information, misrepresent SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC., use SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. logo, brand, or trademark without prior approval, or fail to pay membership dues.
In order to become a member of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. members must be at least 11-18 years of age, live in Atlanta or metro Atlanta area, and be current on all dues and/or fees.
Membership Dues
Active members are required to pay $360/annually or $90/quarterly. Dues not paid within 7 days of due date will be in violation of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. membership rules, and will include revocation of membership, or placed on inactive status. Membership dues cover, and are not limited to workshop supplies, space rentals, event cost for major events, website/social media maintenance and up keep, marketing, etc.
Parents are responsible for paying childs way to monthly meet up outings. We try to keep the cost of these meet ups at an affordable amount for everyone.
Members can cancel their monthly membership at any time. However, cancellation must be within seven (7) days of payment due date.
By signing this agreement, I authorize SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. to charge my dues to the credit or debit card on file. I agree to keep a valid and current card on file which my annual or quarterly dues are authorized to be made. In the event that my credit card account on record with SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. expires or is no longer valid, I further agree to immediately furnish a valid card, or forfeit my membership with SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC.
SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. reserves the right to change our membership fees at any time and any change will be immediately affective for new members and effective upon renewal of membership for existing members at the beginning of the calendar year.
Annual payments will be billed on the same day once a year.
Quarterly payments will be billed on the exact day every 90 days from initial payment date.
Participation
As an active/paying member of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. we encourage members to attend as many workshops and meet ups as you can. We do understand members may not be able to attend everything, however we do ask parents to inform the staff before hand if your child will be unable to attend. As a form of communication you and your child(if they have a phone) must actively participate in SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. Band app. In addition, in the event that you RSVP to an event, you agree to either cancel timely, or pay for your child’s portion divided per person, based on party size.
SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. reserves the right to limit the number of guests that may attend an event or activity. SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. also reserves the right to cancel or change the date, time, activity or venue for any reason, including but not limited to number of participates, COVID restrictions, or situations where the required number of participates have not been met.
By your child attending an event or activity, you the guardian, consent to use of their photo, image, name, social media handle on SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. website social media, promotional material or any of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. affiliates or sponsors.
When contacting other members to arrange or meet, before or after an event or activity, or outside of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. social platform, you agree to use caution you would undertake when meeting other people, you do not know and acknowledge and agree that SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. shall have no responsibility or liability in connection with such communication or meetings.
Membership Notification
The club utilizes electronic mail and Band App to keep members aware of club news, changes, events, activities and more. Parents of members should keep a valid email address on file with SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. and should mark secretknation@gmail.com and their selected chapter email as verified with their email provider to avoid spam filters. SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. has no obligation to send communication via paper mail.
SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. Name and Likeness
You agree as a member or parent of member, while conducting business for SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC., to not misrepresent yourself or SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. in any public or private setting. You agree as a member to not use SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC., logo, brand, or trademark, publicly or privately without prior approval from SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. Co Presidents or Executive Team. Violating this rule, will result in immediate termination of membership.
Content Creation
By becoming an active parent of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC., you agree to allow SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, ONC. to use your child’s name, social media handle, location (Atlanta and surrounding areas) in social media campaigns on any and all social media platforms. In addition, you agree to not request that your name or likeness to be removed at a later date. Any removal must be the Executive Team of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC.
Communication
The views and opinions that may be expressed by members of SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. do not reflect those of the Co-Presidents or Executive Team. You also agree to refrain from engaging in the following types of behavior towards other members and parents including but not limited to: invasion of privacy, harassment, public embarrassment, engaging in threatening and/or violent behavior, etc.
I hereby acknowledge that attending SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. events, or activities are privilege and may come with the risk of possible injury. I myself herby accept any and all risk of injury to my child or myself, invited guest or family members may sustain while attending an event or activity hosted by SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC. In accepting the risk of injury, I acknowledge and on behalf my guests, invitees and family members acknowledge that each understands that they are relieving SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC., its successors and assigns and each of its Co-Presidents, Executive Team, partners, members from any loss, cost, claims, injury, damages or liability sustained or incurred by myself and my guests, invitees, and family members resulting from or arising out any conduct or event connected with membership to SECRET KNOWLEDGE NATION, INC.
