Topic: Returning Home: The Path of Meditation
Saturday, May 28 - Sunday, June 5
The path of meditation begins by turning inwards to find our caring heart that is interconnected with all beings. We often find ourselves seeking outside for security or wandering lost in our justifications, identities, wants and fears. This sense of lack takes us down a treacherous road -- sometimes happy, sometimes sad, and always at the mercy of external conditions.
By reconnecting with our bodies, breath, and heart, we begin to unwind the patterns of our ego and discover the joy in simple existence. Quite naturally, we become instruments for healing and peace for not only ourselves but a traumatized world.
Join us for a week of stillness and movement where we begin to cultivate our inner home of boundless care and compassion that manifests in our outer home as selfless service.
Application process: Please fill out the application. Space-permitting, we will follow up with an interview via phone, Zoom, or in person. If you are not admitted to the retreat, your full payment will be refunded. Given the length of the form, you may find it helpful to work on your answers in a separate document and then paste them in.
Covid-19 safety measures: In order to ensure everyone’s health and well-being, we require participants to be fully vaccinated, including a booster shot. There will be a Covid test upon arrival and regular testing during the retreat. Masks may be required indoors. Participants who test positive or develop symptoms during the retreat may need to return home. More details will be shared closer to the retreat.
