On-Camera Close-Up for clips and reels - AGENTS LOVE THE CLIPS - ONGOING - Wednesdays 6-10 p.m. Product Image
On-Camera Close-Up for clips and reels - AGENTS LOVE THE CLIPS - ONGOING - Wednesdays 6-10 p.m. Own the Close-Up. Master the Moment. Train Like a Professional. This class teaches you how working actors prepare: independently, rigorously, and creatively. Union actors are expected to deliver strong work in two takes. That’s the standard — and the expectation here. Come prepared. This is not a spoon-fed class. You are responsible for your work outside of class: fully exploring your character, making bold choices, and arriving rehearsed, focused, and ready to work.Rehearsal Requirements (Non-Negotiable)You must rehearse a minimum of two times outside of class with your scene partner. One rehearsal may be on Zoom. Your partner depends on you. This is how you elevate your work — and how you book. In-Class Process: You will bring a prepared scene to class, shoot it, receive critique and coaching, and then shoot it again with adjustments. This mirrors a professional on-set workflow and emphasizes growth through immediate application. If your scene results in usable footage for a clip, you may bring in a new scene the following week. If not, you may repeat the scene — provided you have rehearsed at least two additional times outside of class with your scene partner. -- Please bring a thumb drive to class to receive your footage. We cannot guarantee footage will be available at a later date if you do not have your drive with you. -- About the Class: On-Camera Close-Up: Great screen acting lives in subtlety, specificity, and truth. This class is designed for actors ready to deepen their on-camera craft and deliver emotionally-connected performances in intimate close-up framing. You’ll learn to: Deliver grounded, truthful performances for the camera. Adjust technique for subtle, powerful on-screen work. Understand framing, eye lines, and continuity. Build dynamic, compelling characters in short scenes. Review playback and receive detailed, personalized coaching. Ideal for film, TV, and streaming auditions — or for actors committed to leveling up their on-camera presence. Attendance & Payment (Non-Negotiable). Class must be paid in advance. NO REFUNDS FOR MISSED CLASSES. Canceling on a scene partner twice (across all partners) results in removal from class without refund. Professionalism is part of the training.
