Grow with GIVE: A FREE Year-long Professional Development

The GIVE Partnership Team invites New York City Cultural Arts Organizations with education programming to participate in a FREE year-long community learning program focused on deepening inclusive arts education practices within their work!

Grow with GIVE is a free program, funded by The New York Community Trust, designed to support five NYC-based arts organizations to fully utilize and implement the GIVE Guide into their classroom settings and organizational practices. Grow with GIVE will take place during the 2022-23 academic school year and will give organizations the tools to deepen their inclusive practices in ICT and other classroom settings serving students with disabilities.

A panel will review each application carefully using the following criteria:
- Demonstration of inclusive practices in previous and current arts education programming with students with disabilities (District 75 schools, inclusion or ICT classrooms, etc.).
- Commitment to deepening and improving inclusive practices in classrooms and throughout their organization.
- Committment or testimonials from Teaching Artists regarding professional development support and stated needs for inclusive practices in inclusion classroom settings.
- Commitment from Teaching Artists and administrators to participate in the program evaluation.
While there is no requirement for budget or staff size, arts discipline or arts education program designs or models, the hope is that there will be a healthy mix of size and focus across the five selected organizations.

Please confirm that you can commit to scheduling and compensating TA’s and staff for the following:
- An introductory workshop on GIVE for all organizational staff and Teaching Artists in Fall 2022.
- The participation of 5-10 Teaching Artists and administrators in a year-long professional development program (Fall 2022-June 2023). This program will include:
  - Three multi-hour training sessions customized to each organizational cohort;
  - One lab-style sharing session for coaching and reflection supporting the implementation of GIVE practices in the classroom and organization;
  - At the culmination of the 2022-23 academic year, a convening of all five organization cohorts to share overall learnings and celebrate!
  - Participating in the program evaluation.
