    The Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC) in partnership with the International Trade Center (ITC) through the EU Funded Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) is implementing the third edition of the Gambia’s Good Market (GGM). The GGM is a monthly popup market organized on the first Saturday of every month during the tourist season.  The objective of the GGM is centered on the objective of creating a sustainable tourism product, that provides a platform for young Gambian entrepreneurs to sell their products. The Good Market features a variety of made in the Gambia products in the categories of fashion, arts & craft, health & beauty products, accessories, agro processed products and local food. The market highlights an additional display of skills & talent providing entertainment and demonstrative arts featuring cultural & modern dancers, weavers, paintartists, tie-dye and batik etc. To improve the productive capacities of entrepreneurs to access and compete in the domestic and international markets, the GGM will support entrepreneurs with training and capacity building invidious areas.

  • Selection Criteria / Eligibility

    1. A Gambian Youth under the ages of 15 – 35 years
    2. Evidence of record/bookkeeping
    3. Completion of application form prior to the deadline
    4. Be able to pay a stall fee of D1500 to cover three (3) Months or D2500 for Six (6) months, However, GYCC will be flexible in the payment requirements for startups
    5.  Business should be one of these sectors; Agribusiness, creative industry, fashion, and Food sectors
    6. Show motivation and commitment to attend all the markets
