Q. How long do they last?
A. With regular maintenance, the life of your Hair Extensions is up to you. Most people can go up to three to six months before needing any service on their Hair Extensions.

Q. Will it damage my natural hair?
A. We use the safest extensions available today. Extensions should not damage your hair if properly cared for and maintained. You must be careful brushing. If you have a tangle, hold the hair while you brush it especially if your hair is fragile. A full assessment of the hair and scalp will be done at the consultation to determine if you are a candidate for Hair Extensions. You will be well educated on how to properly take care of the hair and Hair Extension to make sure there is no breakage. As long as you stay in a healthy state (meaning no illness occurs
after the Hair Extensions are applied or any new medications have to be taken). The pre-tipped hair makes it so simple to apply and the bond is made of a keratin the same make up as human hair protein so there is no wax or glue. There is no damage to the hair, they are virtually undetectable and easy to maintain.
All of these things should be taken into consideration when Hair Extensions application is considered.

Q. Will the hair match my color and texture?
A. Absolutely! Your specialist will match your color and texture perfectly. Custom blending is our specialty!


General Care

Do not shampoo your hair for 48 hours after your service, including initial and maintenance services. This will give enough time for the bonds to settle and ensure that your extensions will not slide out through premature contact with cleansing chemicals.

• Expect to see small quantities of naturally released hair trapped in the bonds after some time. This is quite normal and should not be interpreted as hair being pulled out of the scalp by the extensions themselves. These ends can be cut by your stylist to minimize tangling close to the bonds.

• Prior to bed, pull your hair back into a soft ponytail to prevent tangling while sleeping.

• Return to your salon two weeks after your extensions have been applied for a check-up appointment. It may be necessary to replace a few strands if they have not settled correctly.

• If you experience bond slippage or any discomfort, contact your Certified technician to determine the cause and remedy the situation.

 

Brushing

Brush your hair twice a day using a cushion bristle brush which is specifically designed for hair extensions. Do not use hard brush strokes. Separate your applied strands using your fingers and slowly brush close to the scalp.
This will avoid matting in this area. Do not use a hard-bristle. This may cause the extension strands to slip out. Use a wide toothed comb to gently remove tangles from mid-strands to hair ends. Do not use a comb near the scalp area and the bonds. 

 

Styling

Curling irons and hot rollers may be used on hair extensions but keep them at least 3cm to 4cm away from the hair bonds. Never use a hair dryer on high heat close to your scalp.

 

Showering

Do not use products that contain sulfur, such as dandruff shampoos. Use recommended products that are especially designed to improve the condition of your hair extensions. When showering, tilt your head back and cleanse from the top of the head downward. Avoid facing your head downward. Condition and de-tangle only from mid-strand to end, avoiding the scalp area. After showering, always dry the base area thoroughly to avoid bond breakdown. Avoiding drying in a scrubbing motion. If using a blow dryer, use a medium to low heat and finish with a cool shot once the hair is completely dry.

Swimming

Activities that result in a constant, damp environment, especially swimming in sea water and chlorine, may lessen the longevity of your hair extensions. Prior to swimming, wet the hair completely to prevent chlorine and salt water sticking to your hair.

Miscellaneous Tips

• Although the extension hair is real, it is not receiving nutrients from the scalp like your own hair. Heat is your hair extensions biggest enemy. The more you use on it, the shorter the life span of your hair. We cannot guarantee that the hair will remain silky if you use the blow dry, flat iron, or curling iron.

• When you sleep, we highly recommend that you braid, wrap or ponytail your hair together to prevent tangling. This will save time that would be spent untangling the hair the next morning.

• When washing the hair, always wash it going in a downward motion. Use your fingers in a horizontal motion between wefts to clean your scalp. When rinsing, do the same to be sure that all the shampoo and conditioner residues are washed out.

• If you perm, tint, bleach or cellophane the hair, you do it at your own risk. We do not guarantee any hair that has been chemically altered. If you must chemically alter it, then be sure to do a test strand first. This will allow you to test how the hair will hold up to the chemicals.

I understand and agree to the following terms regarding wearing, removing, and maintaining my Keratin Fusion & Tape-In Hair Extensions. If I breach this contract in any way, I cannot hold my hair stylist or the hair brand responsible.

My Responsibilities

• I will not wear my extensions longer than recommended by my stylist

• I will not try to “fix” my own extensions or cut them in any way.

• I will not remove my own extensions.

• I will only use the proper Keratin Fusion approved Hair Care products for my hair extensions.

• I will use a hair extension brush to remove any tangles and keep my hair from  excess product buildup, excessive moisture, and will use a thermal spray to protect hair. I will sleep with my hair in a loose,
low ponytail or braid (Hairstylist will not be responsible for loose or slipping extensions because of excess moisture or improper maintenance).

• I will not expose the hair extensions to salt water.

• I will attend all my appointments regarding the care of my extensions. (Stylist will not be responsible
for damage or slipping caused by missing appointments.)

• I will brush hair with the extension brush 2-3 times daily.

• I will follow all recommendations by my hairstylist, including when to replace hair extensions that
can no longer be used.

• I will not place oils, conditioners, or products with alcohol on or near the tape tabs or fused keratin
area.

Stylist Responsibilities

 

• Stylist will be properly trained and certified to apply tape in hair extensions and follow proper application techniques.

• Stylist will not perform any same day chemical treatments on the day of installation (Color, Keratin, etc.)

• Stylist will make sure you understand the entire extensions service, including maintenance.

• Stylist will not apply extensions to damaged, oily, or hair that is not suitable for fusion or tape in hair extensions.

• Stylist is not responsible for damage to scalp, hair and loss of extensions from improper use or care.

• Client will be charged for such “hair extension fixes” by the hour.

• Removal and Maintenance will be done by the stylist for an hourly fee.

• Stylist reserves the right to decline hair extensions services if he or she feels that the hair is being compromised in any way.

I have read, understand and agree to the client questionnaire, homecare maintenance and deposit agreement. I wish to proceed with the hair extension service.  
I certify that the information that I supplied in the client questionnaire, homecare maintenance and deposit agreement are correct. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sara Odete for loss damage, claims or actions of every kind that may surfer as a consequence of my failure to provide them with accurate and complete information. I agree that I will not hold Sara Odete and its employees liable in any way for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by me as a consequence of my use of the hair extension service. I release Sara Odete and its employees from all claims and actions of every kind that I might have a consequence of my use of the hair extension service.
I will indemnify and hold harmless Sara Odete and its employees free from all loss, damage claims and actions of every kind that they incur or that are claimed brought against them by any party as a consequence of my use of the hair extension service. 
I have read and understood this agreement, including the terms and conditions, and agree to be bound to them.I am the parent or legal guardian of any minor(s) named above and have the legal right and authority to execute the model release stipulations named in this contract on behalf of the minor. *

I hereby give my permission for the technician and location to use images taken during my services for their printed portfolios and online portfolios, social media pages, websites and all marketing purposes.I give permission to submit the images to magazines, online and social media for the purpose of growing and advertising their brand.
