Order & Size Confirmation* This field is required.SUPPLY CHAIN PPE/UNIFORM POLICY FOR CLIENT, WOOLWORTHS AT DISTRIBUTION CENTERS POLICY • To ensure that the dress code of the GP Retail Operations employees in the DC (Distribution Centre) operational areas projects a modern and professional image, both in terms of appearance and consistency across DC. • Protective clothing and equipment are issued to protect staff from the risks to which they are exposed to in their working areas. This will be in accordance with Health and Safety Requirements. • Uniform will be issued independently from the PPE as per site-specific requirements. PRINCIPLES • All GP Retail Operations operational employees will be issued with PPE where the job requires it. • PPE & Uniforms issued to employees must be treated with the utmost care. • PPE issued as per policy will be free of charge as per table below. • Staff who lose or wilfully damage PPE & uniforms should be required to bear the costs of replacement and disciplinary action may be taken where appropriate. • No PPE or uniform item may be altered or defaced in any form e.g. name branding, printing jackets etc. • All Staff will abide to the Site rules regarding correct PPE & uniforms to be worn i.e. freezer jackets, conti-suites & safety shoes etc. • No other attire (i.e. caps etc.) may be worn when on duty other than what has been issued and agreed upon. • Items are laundered, cleaned and maintained by the staff member and must always be kept in a clean condition. • Staff will be requested to sign the PPE issued document on receipt of their PPE. • GP Retail Operations uniform policy will apply with regards to uniform as indicated in tables below. • Uniform will be issued at cost price to employee as indicated in tables below. The cost of the uniform will be recovered over 4 deductions of earnings. • Staff can wear personal clothing under there conti-suites if the conti-suite is visible on the floor • Staff will always be required to wear their uniform while working, as indicated in the tables below & conditions of Employment. Acknowledgement of Receipt of a GP Retail Operations PPE I hereby acknowledge receipt of my GP Retail Operations Employee PPE (listed below) and am aware of the following: • PPE issued to me remain the property of GP Retail Operations and must be treated with utmost care (according to garment washing instructions) • I remain responsible for PPE and should any item be abused/stolen or lost I will be required to replace at my own cost. • No additional branding/defacement can be printed/done on any uniform item. • I undertake to care for and uphold the garments received. • I will always adhere and dress according to the official Uniform Policy whilst at work. • I will always adhere to the site rules where specific uniform is to be worn including and not limited to protective clothing/equipment. • I understand and agree that by submitting sizes I will not necessarily receive all the items listed • I understand that failure to adhere to the above could result in disciplinary action.
