  • A key element of the Eurofins mission is “contributing to a safer and healthier world.”
    The objectives of Eurofins Foundation are to support initiatives sharing those same goals in selected areas. Planned actions include supporting initiatives aimed at:

    • Protecting the environment: protecting ecosystems in the sea and on land and conserving our planet’s scarce resources for future generations;
    • Improving nutrition: support to feeding deprived communities in developing countries, programs aimed at avoiding food waste and facing the challenge of feeding a growing world population in a sustainable manner, etc.;
    • Improving health: facilitating access to clean water and sanitation, supporting research on cancer, organ transplants or addressing other significant challenges in modern healthcare;
    • Helping social, non for profit businesses working in the fields of environment or health protection, better nutrition, in line with Eurofins’ DNA;
    • Promoting inclusion, diversity and equality at all levels of society through advocacy, education, mentorship, training and development programmes and STEM and STEAM outreach where this is contributing to a safer and healthier world;
    • Supporting Doctorate or Post Doctorate students who study or carry out research in fields aiming at contributing to safer and healthier lives but who lack sufficient financial resources;
    • Helping charities active in the local communities where Eurofins’ laboratories operate and their staff live and work.
  • The Eurofins Foundation is committed to promoting equality and diversity, to ensure inclusive processes, practices and culture are fostered throughout all activities it carries.

    They can can also contact a Steering Committee Member close to them, geographically or by Business Unit, should they have technical questions regarding a project they wish to propose to the Foundation.

    • Maximum 25% of a project / initiative costs;
    • Grants can have varying amounts;
    • Contributions are usually one-off and mostly non-recurring (except funds to Universities, which provide grants to their students).

  • All applications will be reviewed to make sure they are complete and aligned with the Foundation’s objectives.

    A confirmation of receipt will be provided by the Foundation Team when the application has been received.

    It may be that the Foundation Team asks for additional information. Valid applications will then be reviewed, once a year in the fourth quarter. The Eurofins Foundation’ Steering Committee, will select the proposals according to the objectives of the Foundation, its priority areas of focus and the overall impact of the proposed action.

    Donations can be split among several projects while remaining impactful and meaningful for the organisations or students/ researchers that receive the donations.

    Feedback will be provided via e-mail after the application has been reviewed by the foundation and the selected beneficiaries will be notified between October and December of each year.

    The Foundation expects a short report on the use of the allocated funds at the end of the project. A reporting template will be provided in due time to all beneficiaries.

    Any foreseen delays in the project should be proactively notified to Eurofins Foundation.
