Please enter your project budget in the table below. When entering dollar amounts, please use only numbers and not commas, dollar signs, words, etc.
The maximum grant request amount is $15,000. This is a matching grant covering up to 25% of your project's total costs. The other 75% of your total project costs must come from other funds you have in-hand when you submit your application. This means that for every $1 you would receive from our grant, your house of worship must contribute at least $3. For example, if you have a $60,000 project, then this grant will cover up to $15,000 and you must have $45,000 from other sources. For a project with a total cost of $20,000, this grant can cover up to $5,000.
If you have any questions, please email us at grants@faithinplace.org.
Budget Items - briefly describe your project costs. Write each different project cost in a different row. For example, "100 LED lightbulbs at $5 each" would go in one row and "purchase and professional installation of heat pump" in another row.
If your house of worship is not already registered on the Energy Stewards online benchmarking platform, then please enter that cost into your budget. Write "Energy Stewards registration" in a Budget Items row. In the same row, enter 0 under Grant Requests and 200 under Other Funds.
Grant Requests - the amount of funding requested from us for each project budget item. Please do not use commas or dollar signs. For example, please write 1000 not 1,000 or $1000 or $1,000.
Other Funds - how much your house of worship will contribute for each project budget item. Please do not use commas or dollar signs. For example, please write 3000 not 3,000 or $3000 or $3,000.
Total Project Cost - the table will automatically calculate the total for each row.
Total ($) - the table will automatically calculate the total dollar amount for Grant Requests, Other Funds, and Total Project Cost.
Your total Grant Requests is the total amount you are requesting as a grant from Faith in Place. The maximum grant request is $15,000.
Your total Other Funds is the total cash your house of worship must contribute to the project from sources other than this grant. You must have your total Other Funds in-hand at the time you submit your application, for example, in your house of worship bank account.
Percentage (%) - the table will automatically calculate the percent that your total Grant Requests and total Other Funds are of the Total Project Cost. To be eligible to receive a grant, your total Grant Requests percentage must be 25% or less.
