Registered Rehabilitator. This role involves rescuing and rehabilitating Wildlife, Registration under the Geo Bay WIldlife Rescue Licence with the Department of Parks and Wildlife. Reporting and accurate record keeping of the fauna in your care. All rehabilitators and those assisting are required to follow Department's code of practice for Wildlife Rehabilitation in Western Australia. Rehabilitators are required to undertake training.Associate Rehabilitator. This involves assisting our registered rehabilitators by helping them on a regular basis to clean cages and aviaries, collect leaves and flowers and learn how to rehabilitate wildlife in care.Rescue and Transport Officer. This role involves attending to rescues, transporting sick, injured or abandoned wildlife to a registered rehabilitator or local vet. You are welcome to attend any training run by Geo Bay Wildlife Rescue, attend networking events and receive our quarterly newsletter.Junior Friend of Wildlife Member. This membership involves learning about wildlife and how to rehabilitate those in care. Our Junior Friends are aged between 12 -18. Junior Friends are paired with a registered rehabilitator and help with the care of wildlife, including cleaning cages and aviaries, helping collect leaves and flowers. Receive our quarterly newsletter.
